Enterprise AI has a familiar failure mode: a dazzling demo, then six months of integration hell. TechCrunch reports Google Cloud is expanding a partnership with Accenture to put forward-deployed engineers inside customer teams.
The pattern copies what OpenAI and Microsoft already sell: not just an API, but people who sit with the client until a workflow actually ships. Google has the models (Gemini) and the cloud. It has been weaker at the last mile.
Accenture brings procurement relationships and industry templates. Google brings TPUs, data-platform hooks, and a reason for CIOs who already live in Workspace to stay inside one vendor.
The risk is the same as every systems-integrator alliance: the partner captures the margin, the cloud vendor captures the tokens, and the customer still owns the mess if the project stalls.
